Polimix
Polimix static mixers have been developed especially for mixing low- and medium-viscosity liquids with liquids and low-viscosity liquids with gases.
Polimix static mixers
Polimix static mixers are designed especially for mixing medium- and high-viscosity liquids with liquids and low-viscosity liquids with gases. In polimix mixers, the mixing elements are built into the tube housing in such a way that they are connected in a kind of chain. This solution gives the equipment a number of innovative and useful features for both manufacturing and operational applications (e.g., removability and cleanability of the mixing unit).

![]() | TETRAMIXPT The TETRAMIXPT static mixer, based on the standard TETRAMIX mixing element design, incorporates all the advantageous features of the TETRAMIX mixer, but with extra short mixing paths due to the t=0 mm spacing. The TETRAMIXPT static mixer, with elements rotated 30 or 45 degrees relative to each other, is recommended for mixing medium and high viscosity liquids. |
TETRAMIXPC and TETRAMIXPCI In addition to ensuring an extra short mixing path, the TETRAMIXPC and TETRAMIXPCI static mixers are characterized by their ability to increase the likelihood that intermittently dosed chemicals will become virtually continuous after perfect mixing. This is achieved with the help of the enlarged swirl chambers of the mixing elements. The TETRAMIXPC and TETRAMIXPCI static mixers are particularly suitable for mixing low-viscosity liquids and gases into liquids. | ![]() |
| TETRAMIXPK The TETRAMIXPK static mixer optimizes mixing and thus a wide range of production technologies with a mixing element unit arranged in a chain made of individual components with a special design and connection. The mixer combines rotation, partial flow and vortex formation with significant shear forces. Due to their high shear force, TETRAMIXPK static mixers are highly effective for mixing low- and medium-viscosity liquids and for mixing gases into liquids. |
Droplet separation
TETRAMIXPK static mixers are well suited for separating liquid droplets entrained in various gases. Since liquid droplets transported by a gaseous medium are unable to follow rapid changes in direction and rotational motion, they eventually collide with the mixing elements and are separated.
TETRAMIXPR
The TETRAMIXPR mixer is a special version of the TETRAMIXPK static mixer, which has been developed specifically for mixing and homogenizing medium and high viscosity liquids. One of the very useful features of the slotted mixing element blades is that the liquid flowing over them is not only divided into many parts, but also undergoes a kind of rotation and elementary volume exchange.
This combination of movements achieves very efficient mixing in tasks where the flow pattern of the mixture in the pipe has the characteristics of purely laminar flow.
